New England Home Health Care Conference

We met dozens of home healthcare agencies at the first annual New England Home Care Conference & Trade Show this past week at the Boston Marriott Newton Hotel. All six NE state were represented. The conference addressed the overwhelming current and future home care needs of the emerging baby boomers and their care of elderly parents (85 to 90 years of age). It is the fastest growing segment in our society.
We were there to market our home health care business and marketing services. We help agencies market and communicate to targeted audiences. The referral network is currently like the “wild west”. Home care is not a regulated business. Anyone can call themselves a home care/companion. Therefore, educating the consumer in the selection of professional and qualified home care providers is more important now then ever. That is our role. I can speak from experience because my family has and is going through this experience. By the end of this year, my company will be launching a comprehensive educational and referral site that focuses on the needs of families based upon researching the most professional and accountable home care agencies that are pre-qualified for consumers to hire. We will have more info as we progress.
