Last night, Governor Dannel Malloy of CT engaged in a thoughtful hour and half dialogue with board members of the CT Tech Council (CTC) at the Greenberg Center at Yale. Members represent a diverse cross section of businesses in CT, from small business owners to large corporations i.e., UTC, Comcast.
The governor outlined his budget plans and why he is recommending tax increases and state employee givebacks, but most of the discussion evolved around innovation, job creation/growth, technology and investments. CTC presented to the governor the council’s Innovation Agenda 2.0 based upon research done last year. The council will be working with the Malloy administration especially with the Dept of Economic Development and its new commissioner Catherine Smith with the agenda. Stay tuned.
