TECNA Conference Presentation

My workshops for Technology Councils of North America (TECNA) on marketing communications and how to use better marketing techniques for membership recruitment, fundraising, visibility, branding and so forth, focused on prevalent issues about keeping members engaged and increasing membership. For two days, I served as a sounding board and counselor to help participants with specific issues. A lot of discussion revolved around what to do in these tough economic times. How to have impact on your legislators in terms of public policy issues. Funding for incubator projects. These Technology Councils, depending on where they are, have different initiatives and most have limited resources. So boosting public relations, developing a robust website and wisely targeting marketing dollars to address the most pressing issues are critical.
