I listened to a short Ted Talk by a serial innovator and entrepreneur Bill Gross called The Single Biggest Reason Startups Succeed. According to TED, “Bill Gross has founded a lot of startups, and incubated many others — and he got curious about why some succeeded and others failed. So he gathered data from hundreds of companies, his own and other people’s, and ranked each company on five key factors. He found one factor that stands out from the others — and surprised even him.”
He listed five areas that were mostly common to all start ups:
- Ideas
- Team
- Business Model
- Funding
- Timing
He then did research into which one of these was the most important. Which one do you think it is? To learn go to and learn which one and why:
