Public Relations Society of America (PRSA)

PRSA is the world’s largest organization for public relations and communications professionals with over 20,000 members worldwide. Organized into more than 100 Chapters, members represent business and industry, technology, counseling firms, government, associations, hospitals, schools, professional services firms and non-profit organizations. The primary objectives of the organization are to advance the standards of the profession and to provide members with professional development opportunities through a series of continuing education activities, information exchange programs, and research projects conducted on national and local levels. Membership requires that its members and its organizations adhere to the principles of the Code of Professional Standards. PRSA builds the public relations profession and the public relations professional in the three core areas of: Advancing the Profession, Strengthening the Society and Establishing Global Leadership

Connecticut Technology Council

The Connecticut Technology Council (CTC) is a statewide association of technology oriented companies and institutions, providing leadership in areas of policy advocacy, community building and assistance for growing companies. Ira Yellen is on the board of directors, executive committee, and chair, communication and marketing committee.

Hartford Foundation for Public Giving — Catalyst Fund

Ira Yellen is a member and donor to the Catalyst Fund, a member donor designated group, that funds special social programs in the Greater Hartford Region

Ira Yellen is on the board of directors to help shape programs geared to presenting entrepreneurs and their innovative products and services.

Leadership Greater Hartford

Ira Yellen is a past board member and participant in the Quest program that created the Third Age Program for 50 plus retirees or seniors. Leadership Greater Hartford is one of the foremost community based leadership training programs in the United States.

Glastonbury Education Foundation

Ira Yellen is a past Founder and Chair of the Glastonbury Education Foundation that supports programs and projects that would not be funded by tax payer dollars. During the first 5 years over $450,000 was raised for various  purposes that include creating a state of the art television digital studio in the High School.
